Nice morning spent in Rutland at a trout farm that is visited by the Ospreys from Rutland water. One turned up at 6AM and perched in a tree for a while, before eventually diving in and leaving with a nice juicy trout for breakfast. Unfortunately the light wasn't fantastic which made getting decent photos difficult, and as there are no chicks to feed yet they only need one fish to start the day. The light never improved over the next 3 hours and we had no more visits so couldn't hone our skills, ...

Interesting night with a bike, a camera, tripod, assistant (Holly) and a 2 metre length of battery powered LED's! Trying to catch the motion of pedalling a bike with light using a long exposure, quite pleased with the results leaving these 'Ribbons of light'. Now I am thinking of other movements I can capture that will make interesting patterns, all suggestions welcome!  ...

After a week away testing with GP2, time to put on some studio shots against the acoustic wall using 'bounce flash' technique, done just before I left. Acoustic foam gives a nice texture I think.  ...

Spent another morning at Oaks Farm in the field with the Hares. Weather was nicer than last time, but less action as I think they are pairing up now. Pleased with the photos I got with a bit of morning sunshine to add to some moody lighting.   ...
